We bill Alberta Blue Cross, Sun Life and GreenShield directly, and over 30 other insurers such as Canada Life and Manulife through TELUS Health eClaims, so you usually pay only the portion your plan doesn’t cover.

Insurers we bill through TELUS Health eClaims
TELUS Health eClaims lets us submit your claim at your appointment to over 30 insurers and plan administrators, including Canada Life, Manulife, Desjardins, iA, Beneva and ClaimSecure.
Before your visit
- Check with your insurer that acupuncture by a Registered Acupuncturist is covered, and how much coverage you have left this year.
- Ask whether your plan needs a doctor’s referral.
- Bring your plan and member numbers, and the plan holder’s details if you are a dependant.
How it works
- At your appointment we submit the claim electronically.
- You pay any amount your plan doesn’t cover.
- If a claim can’t be submitted electronically, you pay at the visit and we give you an itemized receipt to submit yourself.
Alberta Health Care
Acupuncture is not an insured service under the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan. Coverage usually comes from extended health benefits through work, a spouse’s plan, or an individual plan.
