Approach to patient care

Frank opened Healify to help people directly on their path to better health. He focuses on personalized, patient-centred care: listening first, explaining his assessment in plain language, and being clear about what acupuncture can and can’t do for you. If another provider would help you more, he will tell you.

With a background in science, Frank draws on Western biomedical knowledge and Traditional Chinese Medicine to guide his care. For pain management, he often uses relevant physical examination and palpation to identify the muscles involved. He plans treatment around both those muscles and relevant TCM channel theories, and often suggests simple exercises to support recovery between visits.

For fertility-related concerns, Frank adjusts treatment from week to week according to the patient’s stage in their menstrual cycle. Depending on individual needs, he may also recommend supplements and TCM herbal medicine as part of the care plan.
